"Do your close friends tend to be older or younger than you?"
Always, ALWAYS older. I went to a private preschool in Lawrence, KS and they routinely would send these personality checks home with the children. My parents kept them and I found them in a file in my father's office about 8 years ago. Most of the evaluations said, "tends to make friends and play with the older children." That's just how I was and how I still am. I have very few friends that are younger than me or even my same age. I'm ok with that. If we really want to analyze this, it's probably because I didn't have a close relationship with my older sister growing up and I was probably trying to substitute that by having older friends. Take that Virginia Satir!!
